Project Details

Project Description

Effective communication first needs to capture the audience’s interest, then provide the information in a clear, relatable way. We tell evidence-based stories that entertain and educate people at the same time.

Our storytelling approach starts with writing scripts that are relevant to the target audience. Our creative process uses images and animation to both entertain the viewer, and further enhance the information being conveyed. We select the narrator and tone based on what will be most impactful to the audience.

I’ve worked with Reframe Health on a number of projects including the whiteboard video “Why and I Waiting in the ED”. It’s always been a great experience, the team is excellent at working through the content we need to convey and crafting a story around it. The creative process has always been fun and very collaborative. Our ED video was highly successful, and is currently used in over 30 emergency departments across Canada.

It was truly a pleasure to work with Reframe Health Lab, from concept through project completion. We brainstormed as a team on the scope of the script, honing in on the essential points to make. The team provided skillful editorial advice, helping me choose the right stories to tell and then word-smithing for both clarity and voice. They provided creative direction and leadership, anticipating what the topic needed in terms of illustration and sound effects. I had the feeling that I was in good hands, so I could focus on my part of the project. Reframe Health provided timely, responsive project management and coordination of details, such as sharing draft illustrations and getting the final cut completed quickly. The result is an engaging, fun video that packs an intellectual punch!

Movember Canada

Live Action Video

The Movember Foundation is the only charity tackling men’s health on a global scale, year round. We have one goal: to stop men dying too young.

The Locker Room Doctor project has been successful in creating an innovative way to deliver health education to a specific audience of men. By distributing this content through social media, men have the ability to share information they feel is important with their friends. A key goal of the project is getting men to talk and share their own health experiences with their peers. We strongly encourage and support initiatives that are developed through a gendered lens as this has been demonstrated to lead to successful uptake of interventions involving men.
